Meet Matt Love, President and CEO of Nicklaus Children’s Health System—the only healthcare system in the region focused exclusively on kids. At the heart of this system is Nicklaus Children’s Hospital, South Florida’s only top-ranked, specialty licensed children’s hospital.

Matt leads a 325-bed hospital and a growing network of pediatric outpatient centers, specialty offices, and inpatient services across Miami-Dade, Broward, Collier, Martin, and Palm Beach counties. He also oversees Nicklaus Children’s Pediatric Specialists, an ambulatory surgery center, and the Nicklaus Children’s Hospital Foundation, which fuels the organization’s mission through philanthropy.

Under his leadership, Nicklaus Children’s partners with FIU’s Herbert Wertheim College of Medicine to run the largest pediatric teaching program in the Southeast. And since 2003, the hospital has proudly held Magnet designation, the gold standard for nursing excellence.

With more than 25 years in healthcare leadership, Matt brings deep experience in both finance and operations. He’s a proud graduate of The Ohio State University with a degree in Industrial and Systems Engineering, earned his MBA from Cleveland State University, and is a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives.

On Thursday, November 20, 2025, The Miami Foundation will host Give Miami Day, Miami’s largest fundraiser of the year, where the overwhelming generosity in our community provides vital support to the nonprofits that are addressing the issues in Greater Miami that matter to all of us. Give Miami Day is a chance for every single Miamian to get involved, to give to the cause they care most about, and to help build a stronger Greater Miami.
