Lightning Snap Skid With Win Over Red Wings

The Tampa Bay Lightning (40-20-4) defeated the Detroit Red Wings (36-23-7) 4-1 on Thursday night in Tampa. With the win, the Lightning snapped a recent two-game skid.

Jake Guentzel and Gage Goncavles each scored twice for the Lightning in the win. Nikita Kucherov also had two assists, and now has reached 1,100 points in his NHL career. Playing in his 873rd NHL game, he has 391 goals and 709 assists.

The Lightning are next in action when they host the Carolina Hurricanes on Saturday night. Puck drop between the Lightning and Hurricanes is scheduled for 7:00 PM on Saturday at Benchmark International Arena.
